Employment fact of the day: April 9, 2009

I guess by now it’s old news that the national unemployment rate rose to 8.5% in March (the highest since 1983).  But did you know:  when you factor in people who are discouraged and have stopped looking for work and people who are working part-time when they’d rather be full-time, we’re up to 15.6%.
