Marketing means getting the word out about a product or service. It is driven behind the scenes by marketing managers. They are responsible for developing marketing plans that outline their company's efforts to sell their product or service. They often must gather and take in a lot of information at once, analyze that information, and make decisions quickly. They track market trends and coordinate product promotion.


Meet Melanee Meegan, a marketing manager at Peace Coffee (which sells organic, fair trade coffee), as she describes her job and the education, training, and skills needed.
