The Big Tent Career Fair, the summer’s biggest community job fair in the Twin Cities, will be held from 10 AM to 3 PM on Thursday, August 8 at the Hennepin South WorkForce Center in Bloomington.


The Big Tent Career Fair is free and open to all. The event features:

  • More than 50 employers hiring for a wide variety of positions. Many will conduct on-the-spot interviews.
  • Job seeker workshops available throughout the day.
  • Meaningful way for job seekers of diverse backgrounds to meet with employers especially interested in recruiting their talents.
  • Spanish, Hmong and Somali language translators and American Sign Language interpreters will be on hand.

resumeExhibitors at the Big Tent Career Fair represent a variety of private companies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, service providers and government agencies. Most have job vacancies to fill and will be accepting resumes or directing job seekers to the proper channels to apply. A complete list of exhibitors is available online.

You might want to check the list to see if there are organizations that you want to network with in particular, since these firms will be recruiting for a variety of entry level and professional jobs.

Hello: I am looking for more info regarding this career fair on August 8th – I have been an HR Generalist for the past ten years at a reputable financial firm, I am now looking for employment due to a layoff – do you feel this career fair would have suitable positions or is it more entry level?
